Time Switch: Stopping Time or Saving Energy?

Time Switch: Stopping Time or Saving Energy?

By Dave Pinter on July 13, 2009

Designer Ryan Harc developed the Time Switch as a conceptual wall clock based on the need to sometimes “stop time” while under deadline pressure. The digital readout of the clock only becomes illuminated when you flip the light switch on. The merging of banal light switch and clock is interesting itself but is there another idea here? What about a light switch that has a built in timer that keeps track of the length of time the lights are on? For those looking to save energy it might be a subtle reminder of the length of time energy is being used at a particular time.
