The latest art to feature on the lawn of New York’s Madison Square Park comes from Mel Kendrick. For his piece Markers, Kendrick created these “monumental” 10 foot tall sculptures with alternating layers of black and white concrete which references the layered stone found in Italian Gothic cathedrals. They will be on view until the end of 2009.
