Ronnie Wood x Liberty Of London

Ronnie Wood x Liberty Of London

By Laura Feinstein on September 24, 2009

Arguably, there’s almost nothing more English and representative of classic rock and roll culture than the Rolling Stones. It should seem fitting then, that Liberty of London, when commissioning an illustrator for a new line of graffiti T-shirts, paint-shod hold alls and floral-clad, racer-back dresses, would seek out Stone Ronnie Wood (known also for his impressionist pop-art paintings) for the graphics. The unique pieces, which are designed by Liberty’s creative director, Tamara Salman, are fashioned with the Stone’s early modish aesthetic in mind, and include exclusive images of Wood in the campaign.

According to Limite Magazine:

Wood and Salman’s collaborative range will be available exclusively from Liberty’s central London department store from the end of September, after which Wood will be organizing an exhibition of his own work in New York to coincide with the launch – which will then swiftly move to LA for the first week of November.
