Daily Candy to Launch Curated Sample Sale Website

Daily Candy to Launch Curated Sample Sale Website

By Laura Feinstein on October 30, 2009

As anyone who’s ever been to an actual sample sale knows, they are rarely a pleasant experience. Jam-packed with bargain seekers, clothing unorganized and often strewn across the floor, and a line to pay that sometimes stretches out the building- what shoppers gain in discounts they lose in patience and peace of mind. It’s this rational that has led to the growth of online sample sites like ideeli.com and gilt groupe- not to mention sample sale company the Savvy Co. which holds both in person and online sample sales. Throwing their hat into the e-tailing ring is now events and lifestyle site DailyCandy, who will be launching their own members-only site called Swirl, which will carry designer clothing and accessories for up to 80% off. Adding that extra bit of niceness, the editors at DC will be personally picking out the items for sale, ensuring something a little more curated than the usual fashion free-for-all.
