Similar to Adrian Kondratowicz’S InDisposed, Greenz.jp points us to another urban beautification project using garbage bags as the medium. In Tokyo, The Garbage Bag Art Work project aims to remove the negative image of garbage to get more people involved in the discussion around the world’s waste problem. Bags featuring nature-themed designs are placed in formations designed to raise awareness, and get people thinking.

I can’t help think that they looking really ugly. I mean, I get it but adding more garbage to a garbage problem doesn’t work for me.
Instead of wasting their time and energy doing this, they could have gone around their neighborhood picking up rubbish and billed it as a “crowd-sourced, flash mob human art situationist 360 live performance piece.”
