PUMA's Limited Edition Kehinde Wiley Soccer Boot

While there have been many shoe/art collaborations this year, one that’s particularly exciting is a just announced partnership between young artist Kehinde Wiley and Puma for the release of a limited edition performance soccer boot to be released in honor of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

According to a press release from Puma:

The design, which features one of Wiley’s signature graphic prints, seamlessly blends the artist’s aesthetic with some of PUMA’s most advanced technology to date. The Limited Edition v1.10 Kehinde Wiley Boot will be seen on-field on PUMA players Samuel Eto’o, John Mensah, and Emmanuel Eboué during the Champions League, beginning December 9. Only 302 individually-numbered pairs of the boot will be manufactured; in the US, the boot will be available for purchase exclusively at Eurosport (www.soccer.com) beginning in early December.
