Curious Displays: A Physical Manifestation Of Virtual Space

Curious Displays: A Physical Manifestation Of Virtual Space

By Dan Gould on February 26, 2010

Julia Yu Tsao’s Graduate thesis project re-imagines the possibilities of display technologies. Her Curious Displays concept design transforms the traditional rectangular shape of a projected screen into a swarm of display blocks that can move location and reform into discrete display modules.

Starting from a standard screen display, the blocks can be seen clustering into informational bubbles that call attention to relevant information and needed actions relating to objects within physical space.
