Mobile Payments For Typical Cell Phone Users

By embedding near-field communications (NFC) payment technology into SD cards, Visa and DeviceFidelity are developing a method for bringing mobile payment capability to the average cellphone user. Because the technology functions on a microSD card instead of being built-in to phones themselves, the method bypasses the restrictions that come along with the involvement of  mobile carriers and manufacturers.
