(Video) Craigslist Founder Believes The Web Needs A Distributed Trust Network
In a recent interview, Craig Newmark, the founder of Craigslist, said that he thinks that the lack of a trust network on the web will be a big problem the Internet will have to face in the coming future. He believes that people should be able to easily manage their relationships and reputations on the web, just as they do so in the real world.
For this, Craig is looking up to authority sites such as Google, Amazon and Facebook who have a wide reach, as well as governments, to create some kind of universal standard to support such a trust or reputation network, with all entities being accountable in this private-public partnership.
