Ending World Hunger, One Grilled Cheese Sandwich At A Time

FeelGood World is a program that empowers college students to run non-profit delis on their campuses, in a bid to end world hunger. Started by Kristin Walter and Talis Apud, FeelGood operates franchised shops across 20 college campuses, offering grilled cheese sandwiches in exchange for a donation. People come in to eat, and pay what they feel like their meal was worth. 100% of the proceeds go to non-profits involved in eradicating global poverty. So far, the mission has donated almost a million dollars since its inception.

Apart from helping end world hunger, the FeelGood World model also encourages students to become social entrepreneurs by giving them the hands-on skills necessary to launch and run a business, besides inculcating a sense of social responsibility in them.
