(Infographic) Meet iPad’s Competition

England-based graphic designer, Paul Butt, of Section Design, has diagrammed a beautiful infographic that depicts the large area of the consumer electronics market that the iPad poses a threat to. Commissioned by Courrier Japon Magazine, and featured in their July 2010 issue, it depicts an already crowded gadgets catalogue from four genres of computers; e-readers, gaming consoles, and tablets, pitted against the jack-of-all-trades combo of the iPad and its App Store. While the iPad finds itself in the middle of a cluttered intersection, its functional dexterity retains enough features to compete with a diverse range of consumer electronics.
