Superclogger: Guerilla Puppet Shows Hit Los Angeles Highways

By Naresh Kumar on June 3, 2010

As part of the LA><ART program, which promotes experimental exhibitions and public art initiatives, artist Joel Kyack has launched his project Superclogger, which will present puppet shows to drivers caught in afternoon traffic jams in various Los Angeles highways. Shows will be performed on a mobile theater housed in the back of a nondescript white pickup truck, with soundtracks broadcasted to the drivers’ stereos.

Superclogger will continue presenting shows throughout the summer, ending with a special showing at the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles on September 25th. Kyack will be updating the project’s specific location throughout the days of its presentation on his Twitter account, @Superclogger10.

A commuter captured this video of the Superclogger show while stuck in traffic jam.
