US Teacher Eats & Blogs School Lunches
For the entirety of 2010 a US teacher based somewhere in the Midwest has set out to eat and blog about every school lunch served up at the school’s cafeteria. With the goal of protecting her identity – and job, the teacher goes by ‘Mrs Q’ and on her blog Fed Up With School Lunches she claims:
I am not a nutritionist. I am just a parent who wants the best for all kids.
A while back celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s School Dinners manifesto challenged government, schools, parents and dinner ladies to a ten-year strategic plan to address the poor quality of UK school lunches. With the Child Nutrition Act being debated in congress, Mrs Q hopes to educate people on the effects of an unhealthy eating in schools.
