Subway Japan Rolls Out In-Store Hydroponic Lettuce Factories

A new branch of Subway Japan, opening tomorrow in Tokyo, will feature a hydroponic vegetable growing station in the middle of the store. Lettuce will be grown at the Marunouchi Building location, and the company is looking into other such onsite farming projects to offer different types of fresh produce to its customers.
