A Tennis Ball Inspired Stadium
The United Arab Emirates will soon house a stunning tennis stadium and training academy, named after a legend of the game. The concept for the Jimmy Connors Tennis Centre & Stadium is designed by Foundation Architecture & Design Ltd and takes inspiration from a deconstructed tennis ball. The tennis center looks like the dissected shell of a real tennis ball while the roof lines of the buildings reflect its distinctive curves. Visitors to the center are sheltered by the shells of the buildings floating above a podium.
