While there may have been no edict stating that we couldn’t re-use our previously opened shipping envelopes, most likely wound up in the recycling after a single use. To that end, UPS is trying to make these small efforts to live greener, a bit easier with the introduction of reusable envelopes. The mailers, already made with 100% recycled fiber with 80% post-consumer content, contain an additional adhesive strip accessed by folding down the existing cardboard tab. A simple, but thoughtful innovation that can help cut down on unnecessary waste, while likely saving the business additional material costs.
