The Beauty of Dynamic Braking [Video]
A beautiful clip from the GE team discusses dynamic braking and the environmental benefits of harnessing momentum to generate electricity. Capturing the energy generated from braking, the multinational corporation is looking to incorporate hybrid dynamic braking into locomotives. GE hopes the venture could result in 10% less CO2 emissions and 10% less diesel fuel usage than a standard locomotive in North America.
