Casio has integrated the latest Bluetooth, low-energy technology into its G-Shock line of watches. Using wireless technology, the watch is designed to sync up with smartphones, automatically matching the device’s time reading, managing incoming alerts and messages, and functioning as an alarm for schedule reminders.

Previously Bluetooth integration with watches was thought impossible, since Bluetooth connections require frequent power charging. However, with this new development the G-Shock Bluetooth will run for two years on a single battery–about the battery life of the average electronic watch.
