Come Out & Play Brings Free Summer Games To NYC
The summer festival extends its dates to include 5 weekends to encourage outdoor activities in the warmer months.
The sun’s out, the weather’s warm, and the High-Line’s open with a beer garden and a line of food trucks. To add to the summer fun, the Come Out and Play Festival is partnering with the River to River Festival to sponsor free outdoor games! The Come Out and Play Festival is a forum where game designers and players gather together to create and play a series of outdoor games. Each year, the festival holds only one summer weekend of games.
This year, however, they are extending it to 5 weekends from June 19 to July 16. Every Saturday will showcase a different game, and to end with a big hurrah, they will sponsor Come Out & Play Field Day on July 16, where you can play 15 different games at Governor’s Island from 11am to 5pm.
This Friday’s game (June 25) is a costume hide-and-seek game called the Cowgirl Hunt at Titanic Memorial Park from 1pm – 5pm.
