Google Videos App Now Lets You Rent Movies On Your Android Phone

By Emma Hutchings on August 15, 2011

The official video player for Android Market movie rentals, Google Videos, has been updated and will now work on Android smartphones running the latest versions. The app used to be available only on Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), the OS for Android tablets, now this has extended to Android 2.2 (Froyo) and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). This update, which was rumored early last month, now allows users to watch movie rentals from the Android Market as well as personal videos stored on your smartphone. The app also lets you manage the movies you’ve rented and displays a list of the most-rented titles.
