Luxury Brand Controls Image And Pricing

Prada has made concession arrangements with the Las Vegas Neiman Marcus store and the Saks Fifth Avenue New York Flagship store.

In an effort to control merchandising and pricing, luxury fashion chain Prada has made concession arrangements with the Las Vegas Neiman Marcus store and the Saks Fifth Avenue New York Flagship store. Prada leased space from each retailer to create a store-within-a-store, with merchandising and pricing remaining under the brand’s control. The arrangement allows Prada to control the way their products are presented and sold in the department stores, while the retailers gain a steady source of revenue, albeit at a lower level. Additional shops for Dior, Fendi and Gucci are being tested in select Saks Fifth Avenue locations.
