If Apple’s iPod Nano was a watch, this is what it would look like. A Swiss startup called Pineapple, has launched a line of watches that mimic the look of the mobile music device.
Amid Apple’s current high-profile patent disputes, a startup from Montreux, Switzerland named Pineapple, has created a watch called the ‘Swiss iPod Lookalike Watch,’ which purposely copies the design of the iPod Nano.
The watches are available in seven colors and will be pre-sold at an introductory price of $89 until they reach 1,500 sales as a way to garner funding for the project. As with most online threshold pledge systems, production can only commence once the margin has been met. From Pineapple Watch:
We are about to make an awesome watch for Apple© fangirls or fanboys. A sleek and well designed watch made of the same aluminum than Apple’s toys and in the same color tones (maybe even some more…). But design isn’t everything. Instead of combining this magnificent and colorful watchcase with some cheap watch mechanism, we decided to combine it with an incredibly good and long lasting Swiss one!
