Lemon offers its users a way to store, sort and simplify the receipts they get from in-store and online purchases. Email receipts can be sent to a personal @lemon.com account and paper receipts can be photographed and uploaded with a smartphone app, and these are then filed and organized in one place. Lemon extracts the useful data from receipts to make it easier for future communications, such as tracking a package, managing warranties or returning products. The service also provides useful graphs that show where you’re spending your money.
For disorganized people, this is a good way to keep your receipts safe and secure online. You can tag and search your receipts to keep track of your purchases and turn those bits of paper into useful data. Lemon is currently in beta and you can create a free online account or download the Android app to get started. Apps for the iPhone, Blackberry and Windows Phone are coming soon.
