In the twelfth of our series of ‘Creatives of the Week’ chosen from ARTS THREAD’s graduate portfolios, we highlight the specialisms of ceramics/jewellery/glass and spotlight the work of Sadhbh McCormack, our Creative of the Week.
A Royal College of Art Master’s graduate in Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewelery, Sadhbh McCormack inspires us though her bold use of shape and thoughtful integration of jewelry with clothing to produce pieces that are both fashionable and timeless. Sadhbh says:
I believe that jewellery can give power to the person who wears it. The large scale of my pieces increases the strength and power instilling confidence.
Sadhbh’s large scale pieces are designed to create a sense of calm balance and purity. Powerful geometric shapes crafted from Perspex, brass, silver and gold combine with punchy neon colour in this stand out jewelery collection. Necklaces evoke a tribal quality; aesthetic shields for modern urban living.
