American Express Launches A Prepaid Debit Card With Target

By Kristen Nozell on November 17, 2011

Financial services corporation, American Express, has launched the American Express for Target Card in partnership with the giant retailing company. With a simple fee structure and American Express benefits, the General Purpose Reloadable (GPR) prepaid debit card offers consumers an easy way to complete their holiday shopping this season.

Card fees are limited to a $3 load fee and a $3 ATM withdrawal fee. Online access, text alerts and card replacement are completely free. In addition to the low fees, users enjoy perks such as fraud protection, purchase protection, roadside assistance and access to special offers and discounts.

The collaboration is an innovative way to meet consumer spending needs and attract consumers to both Target and American Express as the holiday shopping season begins.
