Design Creative Of The Week: Filomena Cavallaro [Fashion, Textiles, Accessories]
In the seventeenth installment in our series of ‘Design Creatives of the Week’ chosen from ARTS THREAD’s graduate portfolios, we take a look at the specialisms of fashion/textiles/accessories and highlight the portfolio of Filomena Cavallaro.
Filomena Cavallaro studied Fashion Design at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan and we have chosen Filomena’s work for her new approach to layered dressing and revisiting ethnic and especially Asian traditional dress and incorporating elements to create a contemporary look.
Tonal greys mix with muted tones of slate blue, highlighted with brilliant cobalt blue and turquoise. Tailoring sits against casual knits and workwear cottons.
