An increasing amount of job seekers are now turning to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to find employment.

According to MBA Online, more job seekers are finding employment via online social tools. Over 26 million Americans stated that they got their current job through sites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Surprisingly, Facebook surpassed the professional networking site LinkedIn when it comes job referrals and job searches.

Although 9 in 10 job seekers have a profile on a social media site, less than half of them are considered to be ‘super social’ who actively engage Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn during their job search.
