House Party is offering brands a new, more personal way to reach consumers and encourage them to purchase products. The website helps people throw parties and provides them with a package of free items from sponsoring brands.

Those who sign up are told about upcoming parties offered by different brands. They can invite a group of friends and relatives who will receive exclusive access to try and share products with them, courtesy of a free Party Pack. These include items from the party sponsor, as well as coupons and other goodies. In the past, these packs have included food, toys, games, health and beauty products. Guests don’t need to pay or sell anything, they just provide feedback and let the brand know what they thought about the products in the pack.
