New Facebook App Lets You Say Goodbye After Your Death

By Emma Hutchings on January 10, 2012

If I Die is a “digital afterlife Facebook application” that lets a person’s profile on the social network post farewell messages after they have died. Your famous last words can be posted on your wall and sent to your loved ones, telling them your wishes or simply saying goodbye.

After you have installed the app, you can create the video or text messages you want to send posthumously and are then required to choose three “trustees” from your Facebook friends who will be asked to confirm your death. You can choose to have all the messages published at the same time or they can be posted to a certain schedule, such as every year on a loved one’s birthday.
