The Thermador Freedom is a flat surface cooktop that uses electromagnets and won’t heat up if you place your hands or non-metal materials on its surface. Unlike traditional induction cooktops, the Thermador Freedom has 48 inductors that can automatically detect the size of the cookware and where it’s been placed on the stove. The position is conveniently shown on the touchscreen and is updated if you decide to move the cookware to a different area of the surface. You can also set individual timers for each meal making it versatile and convenient.

Watch the video below to see a product demonstration of the Thermador Freedom. It’s planned to go on sale in July and will cost $4,949.
