Verizon Gamifies Insider Community And Enhances Social Offerings
Verizon is redesigning its community and news website, Verizon Insider to give its users a stronger voice and highlight its social offerings.
Parntered with Gigya, a company that specializes in making sites social, Verizon takes the site to a new level by adding social login, rewards and other game mechanics to its site. Users can integrate their Facebook and Twitter, enter social contests, comment on news articles on the latest technologies, and download and play the Xtra Factor app — a companion app to The X Factor TV show.

Finally, a leaderboard of top users with tiered badges powered by a point system encourages users to comment and explore. Verizon’s latest gamification redesign is one of many in a series that incentivizes the shift towards an enhanced conversation between consumers and merchants.
