If you’ve always hated the ads you see on The New York Times website, then today’s the day to vent your frustration. To accompany the ‘Just One More Game’ article, Jon Huang from The York Times has created a simple mini-game that lets you fly around a spacecraft to shoot up the ads you see on the page. You can navigate the spacecraft with your computer arrow keys and use the spacebar to shoot. You receive points for each ad you destroy.

The game integrates seamlessly with the article written by Sam Anderson that talks about the frivolous and hyperaddictive games that we love to hate, such as Angry Birds, Farmville, and Tetris. Anderson goes through a brief history of gaming and the rise of popular mobile gaming from Zynga and Rovio.
