Marco’s Pizza has partnered with Family Video to open outlets within 350 of its rental stores.
Family Video plans to open 350 Marco’s Pizza shops inside its stores nationwide, creating an estimated 7,000 jobs. Consumers will be able to place their food order and browse videos while they wait. They are also developing systems that let customers reserve movies online that they want to pick up in-store and order a pizza and a movie to be delivered together. Family Video president Keith Hoogland said:
I think it’s going to be a really popular business model that saves a whole trip for the customer. It’s all about convenience.
