Have you ever been traveling and just sensed that the air was somehow different? Whether it’s the streets of Beijing, or the fjords of Sweden, each region of the world seems to carry its own sites, sounds, and especially scents. For those nostalgic for a land somewhere across the sea, Prague based photographer Kirill Rudenko has created a series of canned air art pieces containing the accrued O2 of Paris, New York City, Singapore, Prague, Berlin and Riga. Meant to “relieve stress, cure homesickness and help fight nostalgia” the product is 100% natural.
While the prospect of breathing New York air, as New York residents, is less than enticing, the packaging and graphic design easily trump most standard “tourist” items we’ve come across. Featuring a key to major attractions on the back and a city-centric font on the front, Rudenko’s canned air seem like the perfect gift to give the homesick foreign student, or a travel obsessed friend or family member.
Be sure to check of Rudenko’s site for more of his unique projects and photography. And click through the thumbnails below to see the great packaging design.
