Digital Bill Lets Restaurant Guests Close Their Own Tab From Their Seats

Digital Bill Lets Restaurant Guests Close Their Own Tab From Their Seats

RAIL by restaurant solution provider Viableware is a digital bill folder that lets customers self-swipe credit or debit cards at the table to pay for their bill.

Emma Hutchings

Viableware‘s ‘RAIL’ is a digital bill device for restaurants that looks like a regular folder but lets guests pay for their food at the table whenever they are ready. They can self-swipe credit or debit cards at the table to close their bill, without needing to hand them over to the waiter.

Guests can use the device to view detailed bill information, choose their payment method, easily split the bill, auto-calculate tips, and email a receipt to themselves or to colleagues. Viableware’s pay-at-the-table system integrates directly with existing POS systems, allowing restaurants to securely accept credit and debit cards, NFC, smartphone, Chip & PIN, and online payments.

RAIL also provides a digital platform for advertising, touchscreen surveys, frequent diner programs, gift card purchases, and other programmable applications, to enable restaurants to communicate with their guests in new ways. Check out the video below for more information:
