Nike collaborated with the design firm Miniwiz to build a special pavilion to showcase its Flyknit collection in Beijing, China. The Feather Pavilion reflects the attributes of the new footwear as being lightweight, sustainable, and innovative.

The structure was created using the high-tech fabric threads that are found in the shoes, and Miniwiz’s POLLI-bricks. These transparent ‘bricks’ are made from recycled PET bottles and interlock with each other to create a sturdy structure.

The Feather Pavilion will be on display until 6 October as part of the Beijing Design Week 2012. The impressive building was also recently unveiled in Shanghai at the Festival of Sport event.
