Split-Screen Portraits Show Effects Of Drug Use [Pics]

Photographer Roman Sakovich's series ‘Half’ shows what people look like before and after abusing substances.

London-based photographer Roman Sakovich, who studied at the Arts University College in Bournemouth, created this portrait series to show the shocking effects of drug use. ‘Half’ features two combined images of the same person before (on the left) and after (on the right) drug use, drawing attention to how their facial appearance, clothes, and demeanor changes.

Hypenotice notes that Sakovich photographed subjects in the studio using make-up “in order to explore the outsiders superficial judgement of the same person before and after drug abuse”. Click through to see the photos in the series:
