Hilton Hotels has partnered with The Onion for a new promotional health-themed website where users can diagnose their vacation needs and get customized ‘prescriptions’ for a vacation.

The Hilton Urgent Vacation Care Center interactive website focuses on “Vacationitis,” which affects workers incapable of taking long or short-term breaks. It’s symptoms include “Straight to Voicemailaria,” a chronic avoidance of client calls, and “Replyallgia,” the result of a flood of “reply all” emails. Hilton is offering immediate relief by giving visitors a chance to win one of 15 weekend getaways.

Hilton Partners With The Onion For Humorous Campaign

To build public awareness of “Vacationitis,” The Onion’s creative services division ‘Onion Labs’ is depicting the symptoms using humorous cartoon memes created exclusively for Hilton. These can be downloaded and shared from the website. Onion Labs’ partner Grant Jones said:

Some of our most popular satirical editorial content in The Onion surrounds the workplace and everyday stresses, so it’s been exciting to work with Hilton Hotels & Resorts to illustrate diagnoses of vacation blues around the world. The cartoon memes aim to inspire workers to fill their ‘prescriptions’ with a much-needed break from the office.
