The Office Turntable plays vinyl by activating a QR code with any device.

Hamburg-based Kontor Records wanted to promote their artist Boris Dlugosch’s latest track to the advertising agencies. To get their attention, the record label sent the agency creative directors a vinyl record and packed it in a specially-created envelope that transforms into a turntable when folded out.

The Office Turntable works with a specially-developed smartphone device. To play the vinyl record, the user simply has to place the record on the turntable markings, activate a QR code with their smartphone, and then place their phone over the record to play the track.

It works with any type of smartphone and doesn’t require any downloads. As stated in their promo, the turntable is simply “analogue fun with a digital device.”
