Canary is a home security device packed with a large number of sensors that inform homeowners about the state of their house. They can use it to receive alerts and respond in real-time.

The sleek system features an HD video camera with a wide-angle lens, microphone, accelerometer, and motion detection technology. There is also a speaker and a siren, along with temperature, humidity and air quality sensors.

Canary would be great for renters, who can take it from one place to another and simply connect to wi-fi to set it up. The device analyzes it’s environment and notifies the user of any major changes via a smartphone app.

The Next Web reports that they can read a quick message about the change but also take immediate action if necessary, including making a phone call, sending a personalized message, triggering the siren, and alerting neighbors.

Users can also look at weekly trends for indoor humidity, temperature, and ambient noise to monitor their property. Canary is currently seeking funding on Indiegogo, where it is available in matte black, silver and classic white for a pledge of at least $199.
