Instead of investing your money in a new set of speakers that promises to increase the your music library accessibility through Bluetooth connections, music lovers can now purchase a more affordable piece of technology that is far more suitable for streaming music around the house. ROCKI is a hexagon-shaped module that plugs into the back of your old speakers to turn them into a wireless, connected sound system.

The device receives music signals via WIFI connections, which provide stronger and better signals. As long as you have the ROCKI app downloaded on your phone, you can program the music network to play whatever you like. It doesn’t matter what kind of speakers you have, the ROCKi does not discriminate.

ROCKI supports the most common music formats: MP3, FLAC, WAV and AIFF. Currently on Kickstarter, the company is requesting more backers. Here is the demo video showcasing the final design of the prototype. Check it out.
