Holistic Platform IDs Trends In Personal Tracking Data

Exist highlights insights to help you lead a healthier life.

Leah Gonzalez

Created by Melbourne-based developers Belle Beth Cooper and Josh Sharp, Exist is a web app that compiles all the data that a person creates or tracks. Visualizing the data points in a personal dashboard, the platform provides an overall view of how the person lives his or her life.

Exist takes personal information like social check-ins and fitness tracking, and analyzes each point to identify trends and correlations that are not readily available on activity trackers or services. While most tracking services only provide calorie counts or steps taken, Exist focuses on turning those numbers into significant information the person can use to improve their lives.

When Exist users log in to their dashboards, they see their stats for the day, for the past week, and a 30-day graph. Of course, the data depends on which tracking services the user syncs with Exist.

Exist currently supports services such as Fitbit, Jawbone UP, Foursquare, Twitter,, (local weather), and Mood via email. The creators of the platform are currently working on including Withings Pulse and MyFitnessPal to that list.

If you want to start using Exist, the startup is running a backers campaign to get the platform to the public – Backers pay $60 AUD for exclusive access to the platform and receive this special yearly subscription at a discounted rate for as long as they use Exist. Backers also get a chance to vote on which services to integrate next.
