React captures and adds the user’s facial expressions to each message they send.
The digital world has all kinds of emoticons for a range of situations, but sometimes there’s nothing like someone’s real facial expression to convey their true feelings. Tone and meaning can get lost when we rely solely on texts and emails to connect with our friends and family, leading to miscommunication and frustration.
React is a new app that snaps the user’s facial expressions in real-time and sends it along with their message, bringing visual stimuli and non-verbal cues back to mobile messaging.
To begin, users simply need to type and hit send, and the app takes a picture of their facial expression to send with the message. The app also allows users to send a “double take” or a photo of what’s in front of them and of their face. By letting people chat with real human emotions, React creates a more personal chatting experience.
