Dating App Uses Members’ Voices To Find Their Love Connections

Revealr lets users introduce themselves with a 20-second voice recording and a pixelated profile pic.

Revealr is a new dating app that’s looking to differentiate itself from the countless other dating apps in the market by using members’ voices to help them find their love matches.

Developed by London-based team Paul Laight and Guy Harrington, the iOS app requires users to log in using their Facebook account and lets them introduce themselves with a 20-second audio recording. Users’ profile photos are pixelated and only the audio clip, a first name, age and location are shown to other users.

Users can browse through members profiles and listen to the voice introductions. If users like what they hear, they can click or swipe “Yes” to indicate interest. If two people “like” each other, they get revealed to each other and can start up a chat conversations.

Revealr is available for free on the Apple app store.
