Palladium Hotel Group is introducing smart bracelets, or ‘VIBs’ (Very Important Bracelets), for guests staying at Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel and the new Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, which opens this summer. The VIBs enable guests to open their rooms, pay for products on site, access different establishments, and take advantage of exclusive discounts.

They ensure guests won’t have to carry money or worry about losing their room keys, and are programmed to keep guests’ information protected during their stay. The wearable technology contains radiolocation systems and radio-frequency identification.

Coded according to customer preferences, the VIBs offer options such as room admission, express checkout, access to Facebook and Twitter profiles for picture and content sharing, and payments with a PIN account or credit card.

Juan José Calvo, Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing at Palladium Hotel Group, explains:

“As pioneers in breakthrough technology, we have collaborated with the leading companies in information technology and communication and are proud of the talented professionals who have created such a unique experience for our guests on this year-long project.”
