“Hvisl – Whispers Of Iceland” is an audio-visual experience that adds sounds captured in the Nordic country.
With concept and photography by graphic designers Bertrand Lanthiez and Chloé Curé, Hvisl – Whispers Of Iceland is an interactive art book that uses audio and visual content to give the reader a different kind of reading experience.
The interactive book has electronic sensors hidden within some of the pages and plays various sounds captured in Iceland like cracking ice and rolling waves to accompany the pages.
The creators put the book together after a trip in Iceland where they captured photographs and sounds. They were struck by the strong landscapes and the elements. They decided to do full double pages to preserve the strength of the images. They added in sounds to further enhance the experience.
Lanthiez and Curé worked with Johannes Mandorfer, who contributed his sounds. Susana Sánchez helped out in the project.
