Traffle helps adventurers take spontaneous trips without the planning.
Most people spend months crafting their travel plan, stressing about mundane details and building activities into every hour of the day. However, a soon-to-be-released app will help (aspiring) low-key travelers take a spontaneous trip with just one shake of their phone. Traffle aims to not only provide personalized travel recommendations based on your interests, but also connect you with people and activities that will enhance your trip.
To get started with the app, you first have to connect your Facebook profile. After that, just shake your phone and it will present you with a possible person and adventure you can take. If you like what you see, then Truffle will let you what’s required, and how to get there. If not, just shake your phone again, and you’ll be presented with another option.
The app wants to target adventurous young people first, but the hope is that its simple interface and the growth of holiday booking made on mobile devices will also attract people who might otherwise be considered “too cautious.”
Traffle has the same feel as other platforms such as Couchsurfing and Airbnb, which encourage you to connect with the local community instead of just staying hermetically sealed in your hotel room, The app hasn’t been launched yet, but you can sign up to find out when it does over at the company’s landing page.
