Use Instagram Photos To Create Custom Nike Sneakers

The new PHOTOiD HTML5 app enables customers to transform Air Max designs by applying colors from their online pictures.

Nike has launched a new platform that enables customers to use their favorite Instagram photos to transform a pair of sneakers. Nike PHOTOiD, a HTML5 app, lets you select a photo and then it applies colors from the image to Air Max shoes (Nike Air Max 1 iD, 90 iD or 95 iD).

The custom sneakers are based on the available NIKEiD color palette for each shoe. The Nike PHOTOiD design can then be shared through Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, Google+ and back to Instagram. You can also purchase the individualized Air Max shoes, which will arrive within four weeks.
