The Water Lover's Station plays water-centric tunes that are under five minutes long

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California has turned to digital radio with Pandora, launching a dedicated playlist that features songs related to water. All under five minutes in length, the hope is that the music will encourage listeners to take shorter showers and conserve water.

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is a cooperative of 26 cities and water agencies that imports water from the Colorado River and Northern California to supplement local supplies and helps develop increased water conservation, recycling, storage and other resource-management programs. As it is often difficult to know how long you’ve spent in the shower, they thought an Internet radio Water Lover’s Station with songs timed for five-minute showers would be a great way to encourage shorter showers amidst the drought.
