SureFlap lets pet owners assign a schedule for their animals through their phone to keep them inside during evenings

More advanced pet doors get synced with the tracked implanted in the owner's animal to open when the pet gets close to let them in. SureFlap, a British smart pet gadgets company, wants to make this technology more restrictive to the owner by allowing them to adjust the settings with their smartphone with the Microchip Pet Door Connect.

Pet owners can change the settings of the door through an application on their phone. The application allows owners to choose when to keep the door open or closed, to schedule a curfew for their animal to remain inside, and receive notifications for when the door gets used by their pet. Should a pet owner leave for the weekend, they can share the application's settings with a pet sitter to have them use it.

SureFlap releases the Microchip Pet Door Connect this summer for a total of £159.99.
